Tobias Katz, *1973, architect and exhibition designer. Trained as a draughtsman, studied architecture in Darmstadt. 2004 Diploma with Prof Günter Pfeifer.
From 2004 to 2007, worked at the TU Darmstadt, specialising in design and the fundamentals of building construction, Prof. Wolfgang Lorch. Founded the KATZKAISER office together with Marcus Kaiser in 2007. Numerous museum exhibition architectures in Germany and abroad as well as projects in the field of remembrance culture, including the memorial site at the Frankfurt Grossmarkthalle. 2017 to 2024 Lecturer for exhibition architecture at the Peter Behrens School of Arts in Düsseldorf. Competition successes, publications, author, lecturer and jury member. Co-founder of Initiative.Umbau and Cologne Cares.
2024 Appointed Professor of Spatial Design and Exhibition Design at the Department of Design at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.
