Mathildenhoehe Editions

‘Mathildenhöhe Editions’ is a series of printed publications produced by the Department of Design at Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt. Through the interdisciplinary formats of its various editions, the research project opens up a sustained spectrum of relevant perspectives and questions. At the Department of Design, the original – now historic – idea of a ‘Mathildenhöhe artists’ colony’ transcends its status as a historical monument to become part of the vibrant present: As ever, the current practice of the discipline of ‘design’ – not least at the intersection of analogue and digital – continues to breathe new life into the historically significant site of ‘Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt’.
